Luis is an amateur MMA fighter and a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu purple belt competitor. As first-generation immigrant born in San Fernando, California, his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 5. Luis has always been enamored by the skill and strategy behind mixed martial arts. He’s a huge fan of old school JCVD and Bruce Lee martial arts movies. Luis began his martial arts career with folkstyle wrestling in the Phoenix union high school district and recently found his home at ProEdge MMA in Phoenix, AZ where he began training in Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Luis found early success in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and began competing at local tournaments and larger promotions such as FIGHT 2 WIN. He has also helped pioneer the kid's Brazilian jiu-jitsu program at PROEDGE MMA.
